Ati children play in the coastal waters of Boracay, a world-famous island paradise that attracted nearly 1.5 million visitors in 2014. The Ati are the original inhabitants of the island, but they have been displaced by the rampant development. Today, their ancestral land has been reduced to a mere 2.1 hectares out of the island’s total 1,032 hectares.
